Elizabeth Ivey, Educational Diagnositican

Lizzy received a bachelor's degree In Special Education from Texas A&M University, a MsEd in literacy intervetion from SUNY Potsdam, a MsEd in educational administration from Missouri State University, and her diagnostician certification from Lamar University. Lizzy is currently pursuing a doctorate in educational psychology at Texas A&M University, where she is a part of a grant through the US Department of Education's Office of Special Education and Programs, researching special educator preparation and the academic achievement of students with disabilities.
Lizzy hold’s licenses in multiple states as a school administrator, reading specialist, special education teacher, English-Language Learner teacher, and educational diagnostician. Lizzy has been a part of hundreds of ARD committees, written and implemented hundreds of IEPs, and been a part of the IEP process as a teacher, administrator, evaluator, and parent. She has extensive knowledge and training in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and special education compliance as a whole. Lizzy has also specialized in instructional strategies for students with exceptional needs, interventions for struggling readers, special education administration, and the evaluation and educational planning process for exceptional learners.
